Good news for Tom Waits fans, old and new

He’s gotten a nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Will he be happy or pissed? Considering he once mused something along the lines of “Alternative to what?” when given some Alternative Album of the Year award, I wonder if he’ll be glad to have “official” recognition of his contributions to music, or annoyed at the fact that it means more journalists will want to hunt him down.
