Io9 has a list of 25 classic science fiction movies that everybody must watch so, I’ll bold the ones I can cross off the list as seen:
Metropolis
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Forbidden Planet
Planet of the Apes
2001: A Space Odyssey
Alien
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Blade Runner
E.T.
Tron
Back to the Future
Brazil (oh, I sure tried to like this one. I really did try)
Robocop
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Ghost in the Shell
The Matrix
Primer
The Incredibles
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (tried this one too)
Children of Men
Moon
District 9
Inception
This does not come as a surprise at all. I’ve also written about several of them, as you can see by the links. I thought I wrote about Children of Men as well but the movie came out in 2006 and I might have put that post on a blog I don’t have anymore, sadly.
And I’m willing to attempt those others again. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood for them the first time.

Edit Aug 28/10: Started watching Brazil last night and finished it up this morning. I did enjoy it quite a bit this time around. I’ve got Eternal Sunshine on request so should have that one by Monday.
