But that doesn’t explain how a guy could drink ten litres of the stuff every day. He lost 8 stone after he stopped drinking it when he joined Weight Watchers.
After reading that, I had to wiki the amount of sugar in a one can:
IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT there is approx. 1 teaspoon of sugar per ounce of soda. So a 12 oz. can of Coke contains about 12 teaspoons of sugar. One teaspoon of sugar is about 16 calories. So a can of Coke has about 192 calories. If you drink a six-pac of Coke, you get about 1,152 calories!
Another way is to look at the label, which says that a 12-oz can of Coke has 140 calories. That means that the can has the equivalent of 9 teaspoons or 3 tablespoons of sugar. That’s still a lot!
He was drinking 30 cans worth of Coke a day.
I knew a girl in university who drank 2L bottles of Pepsi like it was water. It seemed like she always carried a bottle around. She was quite large. I like pop once in a while, but cripes. I won’t even order the largest drink at a movie theatre. It’s not just a weight issue- it’s teeth as well.
Congrats to the guy, I have to say. Let’s hope he keeps the weight off and the sugar out of his system. More of us should do the same.
