Book shopping

So, Indigo had their grand opening this weekend. I was in there shortly after the doors opened (got a free book bag, too) and browsed around the store for nearly an hour. I came out of there with Terry Pratchett’s new book called Nation and Bite Me, a companion to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I was tempted to get The Psychology of Joss Whedon as well but I held off.

Two things I got a smile out of me over there – they set up their aisles so science books and religion books face each other. So, you can either turn your back on science and look to religion, or turn away from religion and look to science. They also had a nice display by the tills with a few atheist perspective books on it. In Defense of Atheism was one of the titles. There was one about historical Jesus that looked like it might also be interesting but I can’t recall the title offhand. I was going to see if the library had it. Ah well, gives me an excuse to wander around in there again.

I used to want to work at a book store but I know I’d wind up buying more books than I could read. At least with the library the books are free and always returnable.
